B2R Farms is committed to introducing the practices and principles of Foundations for Farming (FfF) to smallholder farmers in Rwanda and to mobilizing a new generation of educated young people to become agriculture entrepreneurs and trainers of FfF. B2R Farms believes that introducing the practices and principles of Foundations for Farming to smallholder farmers in Rwanda can significantly improve the environment, crop yields, personal income, and quality of life. As a nurturer of young talent, B2R Farms believes it can provide training and opportunities for university graduates and other high capacity young leaders to champion and implement Foundations for Farming and launch successful careers in agriculture. 

The roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  1. Run and Manage FFF Demonstration Farms
  • Design and keep demonstration farms to the highest standard
  • Market and sell the produce of the demonstration farms
  • Monitor the farm inputs to ensure the plants receive appropriate feeding
  • Monitor the health of the crops for disease and insect infestation

 

2. Business Development

  • Assist with client relationship management 
  • Monitor and ensure productivity and profitability of client farms 

 

3. Public Relations, Communication, and Marketing

  • Assist with internal and external communications duties as needed
  • Create marketing campaigns and produce content for newsletters
  • Support the Director of Training and FfF team through administrative duties, such as meeting coordination and production timeline development
  • Host any type of visitors visiting the demonstration farms 

 

The trainer will be prepared to perform any other duties in line with B2R Farms work as requested by supervisors.

 

Qualifications and Minimum Requirements
  • Having a passion for agriculture
  • Ability to work both independently and with the team
  • Be able to work at any location in Rwanda
  • Being able to fill in the application form is mandatory

 

Please note that we only accept candidates who have graduated from Universities that focus on agriculture. Since the program will involve assignments at farms, every candidate should be flexible and prepared to move to any part of the country during the internship period.
