About Samaritan’s Feet Ghana

Samaritan’s Feet Rwanda is an affiliate of Samaritan’s Feet International, a nonprofit organization
dedicated to serving and inspiring hope in children by providing shoes as a foundation to a healthy life. The organization envisions a world where every child experiences love, dignity, and hope through the gift of shoes and a message of faith. SFI, a non-profit organization, provides H.O.P.E. through the distribution of shoes, which stands for Health, Opportunities, Peace, and Education. Recognizing the profound impact that footwear can have on an individual’s well-being, we are committed to distributing shoes to the shoeless across the globe.

Position Overview

The CEO of Samaritan’s Feet Rwanda will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure the organization’s mission and vision are effectively executed. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and mission-driven leader with a passion for serving underprivileged communities, a track record in nonprofit management, and strong relationship-building skills. The Affiliate will act as an agent on behalf of SFI in their community and shall coordinate with SFI to carry out successfully the marketing, publicizing and promotion of SFI’s products and services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership
      • Develop and implement a strategic plan to expand Samaritan’s Feet Rwanda’s reach and impact.
      • Develop a business plan to that establishes KPI’s, metrics and milestones.
      • Align local initiatives with Samaritan’s Feet International’s overarching goals and guidelines.
      • Build partnerships with government agencies, corporations, and other nonprofits to advance the organization’s mission.
      • Build a diverse and supportive board to support SF Rwanda’s mission.
      • Obtain non-profit and duty-free status.
2. Program Management
      • Design and implement a national distribution strategy, including community outreach programs to identify and assess the needs of target beneficiaries.
      • Monitor program outcomes to ensure alignment with organizational goals and report on progress to stakeholders.
      • Procure donated shoes by building partnerships with national and global shoe manufacturers.
      • Protect SF Rwanda’s brand through the marketing initiatives and events.
      • Use M&E formats to collect data and share impact.
3. Fundraising and Resource Mobilization
      • Design and execute sustainable fundraising strategies to include community outreach programs and to identify and assess the needs of target beneficiaries.
      • Implement sustainable fundraising strategies to secure the necessary funds for shoe procurement and operational expenses.
      • Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and grant-making institutions.
      • Seek partnerships with corporate entities willing to sponsor our initiatives through monetary donations, in-kind contributions, or employee volunteer programs.
      • Oversee grant application from governmental agencies, foundations, and international organizations that support initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of disadvantaged populations.
      • Establish a donation platform on SF Rwanda website where individuals can make one-time or recurring contributions to support our cause.
      • Recruit volunteers to assist with fundraising activities, community outreach, shoe distribution events, and administrative tasks.
4. Operational Oversight
      • Manage the daily operations of Samaritan’s Feet Rwanda, including finance, HR, and logistics.
      • Develop and manage budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.
      • Ensure adherence to local regulations, organizational policies, and international standards.
      • Provide monthly P&L recaps.
5. Team Leadership
      • Build and lead a team of staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
      • Provide training, support, and professional development opportunities for team members.
6. Advocacy and Public Engagement
    • Act as the primary spokesperson for Samaritan’s Feet Rwanda.
    • Raise awareness about the organization’s mission and programs through media, events, and community engagement.
    • Advocate for the needs of undeserved populations in collaboration with other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Social Work, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
    • Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector or a related field.
    • Proven track record in fundraising, strategic planning, and program management.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage diverse audiences.
    • Experience in working with international organizations and managing cross-cultural relationships.
    • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and reporting.
    • Passion for community service and alignment with Samaritan’s Feet’s mission and values.
