The King Faisal Hospital Rwanda Foundation is currently at its beginning stage following an action plan that was approved by the hospital in October, 2020.Within the health domain, the Foundation’s major objectives will be to support researchers through funding, training and facilitation in dissemination of research data, establishing strategic relationships with academic, research-driven and research sponsoring institutions and supporting training for medical researchers.As part of a social welfare that constitutes an integral part of the foundation, the hospital will financially assist patients who cannot afford medical care and will continue to sensitize the public on NCDs, congenital and surgical diseases for prevention and early consultation.Furthermore, the foundation will support surgical camps/outreach within the country in a bid to reduce long waiting lists in teaching hospitals. Finally, within the education domain, the foundation will be promoting new learning tools including e-learning and support Continuing Medical Education (CME).

King Faisal Hospital Rwanda Foundation (KFHRF) invites eligible and qualified international firms to
submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for:
LOT 2C: TURNKEY SUBCONTRACT FOR DESIGN, SUPPLY, INSTALLATION, TESTING AND COMMISSIONING OF A PNEUMATIC TUBE SYSTEM
The assignment forms part of the King Faisal Hospital Rwanda Expansion Project, which will expand the existing hospital by approximately 400 additional beds within a 70,000–88,000 sqm development, with completion targeted for November 2027. The Pneumatic Tube System is planned for an ultimate hospital capacity of up to 900 beds, implemented in three (3) phased stages.
Eligibility
The EOI is open to international firms, including consortia or joint ventures, with demonstrated experience in:
- Design of Pneumatic Tube Systems for high-end healthcare facilities
- Supply and installation of Pneumatic Tube System equipment
- Delivery of projects of similar scale and complexity with warranties
Submission Requirements
Interested firms shall submit, in soft copy only:
- Letter of Expression of Interest.
- Company registration documents, physical address and profile (where a consortium only 1 profile of the lead equipment supply entity),
- Evidence of capacity to deliver the required outlined scope, including letters / testimonials of good performance. Testimonial to include specific role /scope executed.
- Previous Project Details – Bidder shall provide comprehensive information on ten (15) comparable projects involving hospital or large-scale Pneumatic Tube System facilities. Preferably in East Africa region, the rest of Africa, middle east, Europe and the rest of the world (at least 3 each per region) The projects submission must include:
- Facility Type: Indicate whether the project was for a public / private institution.
- Scope of Work: Specify contract undertaken extent (design, supply, installation).
- Project Timeline: Contract duration, year, and equipment warranty periods.
- Capacity: Capacity of the 10 projects (number of beds / rooms & if healthcare).
