SALE OF USED VEHICLES OF THE UNITED NATIONS INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION (UNIDO) N° 002/2025.

On behalf of United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the United Nations Development Programmer (UNDP), Rwanda Country Office is pleased to inform the public of its intention to sale two of their used motor vehicles (Disposal by Sale – Competitive Bidding) with the below descriptions:

The vehicle will be sold on an “as is – where is” basis, with UNDP reserving the right to reject any bids.

Prospective Bidders can inspect the vehicles at the UNDP Country Office between 19th November until 25th November 2025, 2:00 pm to 5:00pm, at the UNDP Country Office 4 KN 67th ,ST

Submission of Bids: Interested bidders shall use the provided submission form to submit their bids, accompanied by a certified cheque issued by a commercial bank of Rwf. 1,000,000 (bid Security ) for each of the vehicles, issued to UNDP Rwanda.

The submission form can be obtained by writing to procurement.rw@undp.org, or can be picked from the procurement office atUNDP Country Office 4 KN 67St any working day from 8.30 am to 4 pm

Submissions in sealed envelopes, addressed to the UNDP Rwanda should be made and registered at the UNDP Country Office, (in the Tender box in the documentation office), not later than 26th November 2025, at 10:30 am, Late bids will be rejected

UNDP will conduct bid openings internally through its Bid Opening Committee. There will be no public bid openings. All bidders will be notified of the results via the email addresses provided in their submission documents.

The contract will be awarded to the highest responsive bidder, who will be notified via the email address provided in their submission documents.

Payment to UNDP and Collection of the sold off Vehicle: Successful bidders will receive payment instructions via email and must complete payment within seven (7) working days of award notification, using the certified cheque amount as the initial payment. Failure to pay within this period may result in the award being offered to the next highest bidder. Vehicles must be collected within five (5) days after payment. Delays beyond this will incur a holding fee of RWF 25,000 per day for up to 30 days.

If the successful bidder fails to make payment within the stipulated time, the amount on their certified cheque will be forfeited. Certified cheques submitted by unsuccessful bidders will be returned once the sold vehicle has been handed over to the successful bidder.

Other Costs: The successful bidder shall be responsible for settling all applicable government duties and taxes prior to receiving the vehicle.
