Pig (sow)

  • Pregnant sow ready to give birth with at least 70-120 kg (with Artificial insemination certificate;
  • Improved breed with landrace, large white, pietrain, comb rough and Duroc (with more than 50 % of improved breed)
  • Dewormed;
  • Sourced from a recognized farm to prevent from contaminating other animals.
  • Diagnosed swine Erysipelas & African swine fever
  • The supplier should provide the insurance of pigs
  • The supplier should do the follow up of one month before handing them to beneficiaries, thus inform AVSI Rwanda for joint visit
  • Insurance of one year for pigs, chicken, goats;
  • Guaranty of 103 days for pigs, 153 days for goats and 31 days for rabbits (till the breed give birth);
  • Certified by Sector/District veterinary;
  • Certificate of origin, certified by a Veterinary of the District of animal origin, RAB should be involved in selection and taking samples of selected animals for laboratory testing (Lab Tests will be paid by Tenderers)
  • EBM invoice and tax registration;
  • Valid Tax clearance certificate from Rwanda Revenue Authority;
  • Breed with ear pearl(amaherena)
  • In case the breed doesn’t get pregnant, the Supplier will bring another breed to replace the first one, hence pay to the beneficiary an amount of 1,000 Frw per day counted from the date of reception to compensate the energy lost. Indeed, the supplier, will retain that breed which is not pregnant.

It’s mandatory to include the transportation cost per sector because breeds will be delivered to the Sectors’ Offices. Hence, no advance is allowed.

  • Public Opening: Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 2:00 Pm at AVSI Rwanda Head Office.
