INVITATION TO TENDER

TENDER TITLE: Hiring a firm to carry out the financial audit for Agropy Ltd for 2024 and 2025.

CLIENT: Agropy Ltd,

AgroPy Ltd is a Rwanda-based formulator & manufacturer of organic and Eco-friendly Products applied in Agriculture, Veterinary, and Public Health Pest Control, including mosquito control. Our key botanical insecticide is derived from Pale Extract(pyrethrins) extracted from Pyrethrum flowers grown by local farmers and processed locally.

Agropy Ltd is hiring a competent, certified, and accredited audit firm to act as the company’s External Auditor for the years ending December 31, 2024, and 2025.

The assignment is open to all firms that fulfill the requirements. The Terms of Reference are available at the Company’s Head Office in Musanze and at the Agropy Shop in the CHIC Building in Kigali.

The firms must submit the following documents;

  • RDB Registration Certificate
  • Tax Clearance Certificate
  • RSSB Clearance
  • 3 reference letters/Certificates from previous similar Valuation

The consulting firm should meet the following criteria:

During preparation of the technical proposal, bidders must give particular attention to the following;

  1. The estimated number of key relevant professional staff required for the assignment must be indicated, and their profiles attached.
  2. Proposed staff must preferably have experience in the related industry and as much experience as possible in companies typical to AGROPY LTD in size and/or nature (either the size of the Company as a standalone or for a Group of Companies),
  3. The Audit Manager and team leader must have had similar experiences, i.e., must have participated in audits of companies similar to AGROPY LTD, and be able to demonstrate it with relevant evidence.

The proposals shall provide the following and any other additional information relevant to the assignment;

  1. A brief description of the Firm and an outline of the recent experience on assignments of a similar nature. For each assignment, the outline should indicate the profiles of the staff provided, duration, contract amount, and firm involvement.
  2. The composition of the proposed staff team, & tasks, which would be assigned to each, and their timing.
  3. CVs recently signed by the proposed key professional staff or an authorized manager in the home office. Key information should include the number of years with the firm, and the degree of responsibility held in various assignments during the last 3 years.
  4. Estimates of the total time effort (person X weeks) to be provided to carry out the assignment.
  5. The technical proposal shall not include any financial information. More specifically,
  1. The audit firm must exhibit the capacity to deploy a competent and sufficient team of auditors led by a Certified Accountant recognized by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda (ICPAR),
  2. The Team leader, the Audit Manager, and the Partner must be members and approved by ICPAR.
    • The Team leader must have at least 3 years of experience in this capacity (as Team leader). He/She must be a fully chartered accountant (ACCA, CPA, or any other professional accounting qualification recognized by ICPAR).
    • The Audit Manager must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the same capacity.
    • The Partner must be registered in ICPAR with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of audit and has been at the level of Audit partner (for the current or previous firm) at least the last three consecutive years.
    • The team members must have at least three years of experience in the audit profession.
