The vehicle will be sold on an “as is – where is” basis, with UNDP reserving the right to reject any bids.

Prospective Bidders can inspect the vehicle at the UNDP Country Office on the 10th January 2025, 9:00am to 2:00pm, at the UNDP Country Office 4 KN 67St,

Submission of Bids: Interested bidders shall use the provided submission form to submit their bids, accompanied by a certified cheque issued by a commercial bank of Rwf. 3,500,000 issued to UNDP Rwanda.

The submission form can be obtained by writing to procurement.rw@undp.org, or can be picked from the procurement office at UNDP Country Office 4 KN 67St any working day from 8.30 am to 5 pm

Submissions in sealed envelopes, addressed to the UNDP Rwanda Resident Representative should be made and registered at the UNDP Country Office, 4 KN 67St, (in the Tender box in the documentation office), not later than 13th January 2025, at 11:30 am, Late bids will be rejected

Bid Opening: UNDP shall perform the bid opening thorough an internal bid opening committee, there is no public bid opening. Bidders shall be informed of the outcome of the bid opening, through the email addresses that will be indicated on the bidder’s submission document.

Award will be made to the highest responsive bidder who shall be informed through the email addresses that will be indicated on the bidder’s submission document.

Payment to UNDP and Collection of the sold off Vehicle: The successful bidder will be emailed with payment instructions. Payment must be made within seven working days from award notification date, using the amount submitted on the certified cheque as the initial payment. Failure to honor the bid payment within one week may result in acceptance of the second highest bid. The Vehicle must be collected within five days after payment. In case the winning bidder does not collect the vehicle within the indicated time the bidders will pay RW 25,000 (Twenty-five thousand Francs only) per day as a holding cost of the vehicle for another 30 days.

The successful bidder who fails to make payment in the stipulated time shall have their certified cheque amount forfeited. Submitted Certified cheques for unsuccessful bidders shall be returned to owners once the sold vehicle is handed over to the successful bidder.

Other Costs: The successful bidder shall be responsible for settling any government duties/ taxes as may be applicable before receipt of the vehicle.
